A bit about us:

Meet Coach Carolyn

Coaching Qualifications: Swim England Educator of the year 2019; Swim England Tutor; ASA Level 2 Certificate for Teaching Swimming; British Triathlon Federation Level 2 Coach; Level 2  Award in Coaching Open Water Swimming; ASA Level 1 Certificate for Coaching Swimming. National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches, and member of the Institute of Swimming.

Coaching experience: I’ve worked with a wide range of swimmers over the years from adults nervous in the water, international triathletes, to national swimmers and world championship synchronised swimmers

Swimming Experience: I’ve raced for over 20-years. I’ve been involved with national and international events as a member of the British Swimming/Swim England Event Management Teams for over 10 years. This has included roles at 2 Commonwealth Games, the London Olympic and Paralympics.

What were your aims for this year? After chronic injury to re-build swim fitness and enjoy the process of training rather than focussing on competition

What are your aims now? Virtual triathlons; improving my strength and overall fitness; despite regularly swimming in open water, I have some under-lying fears and I want to learn to manage these better

What do some of Carolyn’s swimmers say about her?

🏊🏻‍♂️ Carolyn is very patient and as I know she has loads of experience with adults and children alike. She would be able to help anyone.

🏊🏽‍♀️ Carolyn’s friendly approach is great and she helps me understand what I need to improve and how that will help my swimming. Every session is different and varied to help me progress – Mike Pearce Personal Trainer, Ironman finisher 2014.

🏊🏿‍♂️ Carolyn has good observational skills and application of corrective techniques to iron out my imperfections. Although I am experienced swimmer, I know that I can still improve – Andy, World Age Group Triathlon competitor and Channel relay swim hopeful.
