Coaching experience: I’ve worked with a variety of from those who are nervously taking their first strokes right up to those that have competed in the age group ITU/IM World Triathlon Championships.
Swimming Experience: I’ve raced for over 25 years and some of the highlights so far are 6 FINA relay Masters World Records, and 3 individual Masters British Records. Open water highlights include being part of the fastest ever female double English Channel relay and part of the fastest ever triple English Channel relay.
What were your aims for 2020? English Channel Medley relay (butterfly swimmer), which with only 6 weeks training, I went on to complete with the rest of the Big Rick’s Chicks team. We were the first female team to complete the crossing as a Medley relay.
What are your aims now? Swim for mental and physical wellbeing. See how long I can keep swimming into the Winter in open water.
What do some of Lucy’s swimmers say about her?
🏊🏻♀️ Lucy is a great motivator with an infectious enthusiasm for swimming. No challenge seems too big or too small for her – Dawn
🏊🏼♂️ Lucy is really supportive and adapts the sessions as needed to help me achieve my goals while working around my injuries. I didn’t think I’d be able to swim after a serious injury, but Lucy has helped me fine tune my stroke so I can swim well again.
🏊🏽♀️ I would highly recommend Lucy, she is patient, supportive and knowledgeable. Her lessons suit any level of swimmer. Every time I see a big expanse of water now I want to jump in it and go for a swim – Sam
🏊🏿♂️ I always look forward to my lessons every week. I am amazed how quickly I have learnt to swim and Lucy has changed the process from something which would have normally been quite daunting into something enjoyable and easy – Hannah
