Lucy and her English Channel Swimming Adventures continue…

Lucy Lloyd-Roach Uncategorized

Lucy will probably kill us for including this our one of our inspirational swims as she isn’t one to talk about her swimming. However, we’re proud of her here in the office, and think she should be too!

Lucy was part of the relay team ‘Andy’s Channel Ladies’ who were raising money for the British Heart Foundation and Unicef by hoping to break the existing record for a triple crossing of the English Channel .

After having been delayed from their tidal window in August, the team were on standby throughout September and had a back up window of October. It was looking increasingly unlikely that they would go this year as the wind didn’t look to be in their favour. All of a sudden, the wind changed and they were given 48 hours notice of a chance to tackle the swim. This would mean that they were swimming outdoors (in Britain) in October – that just makes us feel cold thinking about it!

We’ll leave Lucy to take away the story from here…

Their current fundraising total is around £2000 to help them increase that total head over to:
