Welcome to the home of Swim Smooth in Manchester!

If improving your front crawl matters to you – you’re in the right place!

Whatever your reason for improving your front crawl, be it:

  • fitness
  • faster triathlons
  • personal challenge
  • enjoyment
  • an open water swim
  • a swim-run

Or perhaps you’ll come to us with another reason – we can help!

Powered by the world renowned Swim Smooth coaching system, we offer swim coaching for adults (18+) from those new to front crawl up to those swimming at an elite level.

We have a number of Swim Smooth options to help you with your front crawl:

Bringing a little bit of the Perth-magic to Manchester. These are our pool based swim squads. They have a front crawl and open water focus. Ideal for triathletes, fitness and open water swimmers.

We have a range of swimmers in the squad from those new to squad swimming up to elite swimmers. Minimum swimming standard is 400m comfortably on front crawl.

For more information and to join the squad click here

Open water squads – available between June and September

These are like our pool based squads – only with less chlorine and more wildlife!

We believe that that there is nothing quite like training for open water swimming than getting out there and doing it!

We’ve partnered with Salford Watersports Centre at Salford Quays to deliver these sessions. They will cover fitness, and open water specific skills and techniques. Could this give you that extra competitive edge you’ve been looking for?

Swim Smooth 1-2-1 video analysis and stroke correction

Over the course of 75 minutes we’ll show you what you need to improve and how to do it. We’ll then get you back in the pool and go through it with you.

For a taster of the session please watch the video.

If you’re not quite up to 400m front crawl (yet), we can also help with our front crawl technique sessions.  These are small group sessions for adults who can already swim 50m (any stroke) up to those who are building up to 400m front crawl.

It was a good day of racing (and catching up) yesterday for Coach Lucy, Swimmer Judy and some of you will recognise Louisa who coached with us.

It was the Northern round of the Swim England Masters Inter-counties in Huddersfield. This is an annual virtual race. The results from the regional rounds (all swum on the same day) are then put together for the overall National results.

It was Swimmer Judy’s first-time being selected to race for Cheshire; we know how hard she’s worked in preparation for this. Great swimming; Well done Judy 👏👏👏

Thank you to all the officials and volunteers who made yesterday all possible. 🙏
